Thanks to our sponsors

Here at UMC, we have received help from many sources-it has kept us going-and we are very grateful to the numerous organizations for your tremendous support.

A big fa'afetai tele lava must go out to the good people at The British High Commission for all of their recent help.  Especially with the funding to rebuild the fale at the volunteers compound.  Thank you Sarah for coming to visit.  Please come back anytime, we would love to have you as our distinguished guest again.

Thank you to George Brown City College in Toronto, Canada. We have had two visitors from this esteemed Institution: Professor Marjorie McColm, who is Director of Academic Excellence at the College, and Professor Ron Sluser, who as coordinator of the Life Skills Centre of the College ran a Life Skills coach Training course here  for one week. It was attended by four teachers from Marist Centre, as well as teachers from Apia and Tuasivi College in Savai'i. (See the "News and Events" page for photos). The British High Commission have also funded the salary of our Special Needs teacher, Faavela, for the past two years.

SPECIAL THANK YOU TO REEF SHIPPING!

A big Fa'afetai tele lava (thanks) to Philip McNicol and Co. from Reef shipping for their generous donation.  It has gone towards the Sala'ilua plantation.  With food crops sustaining damage in Cyclone Heta, MCSL hopes to gain high prices for the first crop, due to be harvested in March.  These monies will assist in making the Centre self funding and sustainable. For the past two years Reef shipping has funded the salry of our Agriculture teacher, Hemi.

Thank you to all of you who have helped us make it this far!
