Volunteer-Use your skills and talents to help others achieve and experience Fa'asamoa
Funding- here in Samoa, foreign currency goes a long way. Whether it be ten US dollars or five New Zealand dollars, every little bit helps. Your donation will go directly to the school. Whether helping pay the salary of an English Teacher, or the electricity bill for a computer class, please know your contribution will go a long way. You can send funds directly to our bank account or use other means. Contact us at ulimasao@ipasifika.net
Become a Sponsor- You can sponsor a teacher for three months, six months, a year. You can sponsor a department. For example, sponsor our tailoring department and know that you are helping scores of young Samoan women learn to sew, an important industry in this country. Or you can sponsor a project, such as the fale (house) building project, which allows young people to get hands on carpentry experience.
Donate Goods-In some departments, our quality and quantity of materials is inadequate to provide our students with the best possible education. The hand operated sewing machines are missing parts, the Tech department lacks important tools, much of the grass is cut by students and their knives. Soon you can view our wish list for the materials that are the most urgent. However, at the Centre, there is almost nothing we wouldn't use-we are always open to new projects and courses, and have made use of many seemingly "obsolete" materials. Email us at ulimasao@ipasifika.net if you wish to donate goods or supplies.
Become a Volunteer- You can offer your expertise as a volunteer and experience Samoa, with all of its beauty and tradition, and serve in one of the many areas of need at MCSL. Because our school is an alternative education school, we offer a wide range of subjects and are open to new departments and courses. For example, if your background was in Technical Drawing you would be able to teach courses related to that particular field, although such a program currently does not exist. You can also teach one of the many courses offered now, such as English, Samoan, Math, Art, Computing, Accounting, Music, Home Economics, Welding, Woodworking, Engineering, or Agriculture. As a volunteer housing would be provided, and utilities would also be paid for. The cost of living in Samoa is cheap, but the life in Samoa is very Rich. Volunteer and have an experience that will change your life!
