Sacred Heart College Malaga, 2007

On Monday September 24, we welcomed the Sacred Heart College group to our school. (Sacred Heart College  is a Marist Brothers' School in Glen Innes, Auckland, New Zealand.) The "malaga"  was organised by Brother Marcel  Hall, and with him are two fellow staff members,  Mr Milton Ross with his daughter Stevie Raye, Ms Erin McWilliams with her son Jay. There are ten Form six students on the malaga, Daniel Churchill, Matthew Crooymans, Anthony Hos, Nicholas Johnson, James Murray, Michael O'Connor, Thomas Peterson, Anthony Salmon, Kyle Wright and Matthew Youngman.

The group is undertaking painting of the interiors of the rooms of the Technical Block.

The progress of the malaga and the work will be displayed on this page.

The malaga group are welcomed  by the school in the Fale Samoa

Ms McWilliams takes her turn

 The taste is... different!

The painting begins inside the Tech department

...and other activities seem to intrude at times!

The weekend comes...

A picnic at a beach resort and a haka demonstration

Wonderful views but painting soon resumed after the weekend...

Gifts were exchanged at the farewell gathering, and a gift for the host families
